Stereo/CD Player

Eschewing the "marine" stereos sold my marine retailers, we bought a nice Sony AM/FM with CD player at the local Best Buy--a far better system for less money, and my experience has been that the regular automotive systems hold up just fine on boats.  We also purchased two Pioneer 3-way speakers.  The stereo is mounted in my systems panel; the speakers are located in the forward bulkhead in the salon, beneath the sidedecks.  It was great fun cutting the large holes in the bulkhead to accept the speakers!

I installed the stereo unit and speakers in the boat, and have begun wiring.  I ran the speaker wires along the main wire chases and connected them to the speakers, and also to the stereo wiring harness.  I ran the ground wire to the negative bus block, and the positive wire around in preparation for wiring into the panel.

Sorry...this is a pretty useless page.
