The Waterline:  Old and New

BEFORE--BOTTOM PAINTED TO UPPER SCRIBE MARK, NEW BOOT STRUCK ABOVE.  THIS CAUSED A DIP IN THE BOOTTOP AND WATERLINE AMIDSHIPS AND WAS GENERALLY TOO LOW WHEN BOAT WAS LOADED. AFTER--BOTTOM RAISED ONE INCH ABOVE EFFECTIVE LOAD WATERLINE AND LINE STRAIGHTENED AND LEVELED TO REMOVE DIP AMIDSHIPS.  NEW LEVEL (SLIGHTLY SHEERED FORWARD) BOOT STRUCK ABOVE.
